Birthday's

In Grenada we make birthday's fun, we always have tons of fun and try to make the birthday girl feel special.  I usually do the decorations, and Michelle comes up with games centered around the birthday girl.

We had a bunch of birthday's in a row, it seemed like we were doing at least one a week for a few weeks.  They all turned out great and we hope the birthday girls had fun.

I'll just show pictures from two of the parties.  First was Lizzy's birthday.  Lizzy loves chocolate so that was kind of our theme; we made molten lava cake and gave out chocolate bars to the winners of the games.  Lizzy's party was a surprise, at least we tried to make it a surprise, but trying to have everyone be quiet while we waited for everyone to get there I don't think worked out too well.  Lizzy and Dallas live right next to us and we have our windows open all the time.  When I went to go get her I tried to be serious and say that I needed some help with my rolls, but I'm not a good actress I guess.  I ended up sounding panicked when I said, "Lizzy, I need your help...I think I ruined my roll dough."  For some reason I did an awkward pause after I said Lizzy I need your help, I had her worried for a second.  Then I walked her into my place which was all dark and said "Huh, I wonder why the lights are out" as I proceeded to giggle and turn the lights on as everyone yelled surprise.  She said she was surprised though!

The next big birthday that we had was Lyndzee's birthday.  For that we decided on an 80's theme.  We were all very creative and ended up with some funny outfits.  And we of course played some awesome games, had yummy appetizers, and some almond cake.

And what 80's party would be complete without choreographed karaoke to 80's songs.  We broke into groups and made up dances and performed them for each other.  And yes there is a video, but I'm not brave enough to post it for everyone to see.  It makes me laugh so hard every time I see it.
