Back In Grenada

We are back in Grenada after going home for the break for a few weeks.  It was so so nice to be able to see our family and friends, and do tons of fun stuff.  We both miss being home already, we weren't ready to come back to Grenada because being home went by so fast, but it's nice to see all our Grenada friends again.

I didn't take really any pictures while we were home, I guess I was just having too much fun.  Here are the few that I have:

Sunrise at the airport the morning we left Grenada

Sunset from the plane on the day we left Grenada

It was quite the long day getting home from Grenada, we got to the airport in Grenada at 3:15AM on December 10th, and six stops and four planes later we arrived in Salt Lake on December 11th around 4:30AM Grenada time, so it was over 24 hours of traveling.  We were very tired, but so excited to be back.

Peter did not want to take this picture, but he was a good sport

We literally had something different to do every day while we were home, and we had so much fun every minute.  The only thing that didn't happen was Peter didn't get to go snowboarding because it hardly snowed at all while we were there.  Hopefully it will be a long winter because he has hopes of going snowboarding when we go back later in the year since he missed out this go around.

Getting back to Grenada we had an overnight layover in Miami and it wasn't too great; the hotel was really really gross, it didn't have an elevator so we (by we I mean Peter) had to lug our very heavy bags up two flights of stairs, and they didn't let us do a late check out even though they said they would when we booked it.  We will sum up our Miami airport experience with one word, unorganized.  It was probably the worst experience at an airport that we've ever had, the workers kept telling us to wait in the wrong lines, so it took us well over an hour just to get checked in.  At least we learned a valuable lesson from our experience, to not have an overnight layover in Miami ever again.

So now it's back to our lives in Grenada, including Peter going back to school tomorrow.  One term down and four more to go, in Grenada at least, lots more for the total medical school experience, but we try not to think about it that way; one step at a time.
