Thanksgiving

I don't have a lot to show picture wise for our Thanksgiving, but we had a good holiday.  On the actual Thanksgiving day we didn't do much because it was a normal day here, so Peter still had school.  But that morning us girls got together and watched the Thanksgiving Day Parade together and I showed them how to make a yummy pie.  For dinner I didn't make thanksgiving food, but for some reason I still ended up cooking all day.  I made shepherd's pie, which Peter loves, and Peter's mom Raylene's peaches and cream pie, so good.  We had some friends over for dinner, so it was fun.  Thanksgiving day was kind of hard on all of us here because we missed home, but we're so lucky to have great friends here that are our gramily (Grenada family), I just made that word up, but it fits.

I did get to skype with some family during the party back home and that was so fun, I felt like I was at the party with them all.  I love the holiday chaos that I got to be a part of, it doesn't feel like a real holiday without all that noise and laughing.  My siblings tried to skype me too, but couldn't get it to work, thanks for trying Chanci!

That Sunday we got together with a bunch of our friends to have a traditional thanksgiving dinner.  Lyndzee was nice enough to let about 30 people invade her house and have a really good dinner.  Everyone made really really good food and we played thanksgiving word bingo during dinner.  After dinner we played the word game, so much fun, and the girls beat the boys big time, which they weren't happy about.  Then the guys all left to get back to studying and the girls stayed behind to learn a stomp routine from Michelle that we're going to do at our branch talent show.

Here are the girls at Lyndzee's house after our yummy dinner

So overall we had a good first holiday in Grenada!
