We had a very fun weekend together, and we're both sad it's already over. It's the first weekend we've had together since school started, so we were determined to do something fun.
On Friday when he got home from his tests we decided we wanted to start our weekend of fun right away, so we went to BBC beach.

After the beach we hurried and got ready and went out to dinner with some friends to a restaurant called Victory, it is in Port Louis right on the water. Who knew there would be a place like this on the island, we were actually able to get some great BBQ. We stayed out way past our bedtime talking and having fun.
The next morning we slept in, which was so nice, and had a real breakfast together, which was our first since arriving in Grenada. Then we decided to do something that neither of us had done on the island yet, we wanted to hike Seven Sisters, which is a hike where you can see seven different waterfalls. So we loaded up in our Escudo and headed out.

After driving for about forty minutes, we got to Grand Etang, which is where Seven Sister's is, and on the way in we saw a sign saying there was a lookout, so we decided to park and try it out. The sign at the beginning of the trail said "Beausejour Lookout 15 min", we thought that is a weird way to mark a trail, but we started hiking. After probably about 20 minutes we came to another sign that said "Beausejour Lookout 15 min", and pointed back in the direction we had just come from.
We were a bit confused at that point, but there were more trails, so we kept hiking. We ended up hiking to a lake, the water was pretty gross, you couldn't even seen into it, but it was neat to see something different.
After exploring around the lake for a bit, we started heading back to where we came from, still determined to find the look out. We didn't find anything that seemed like a look out, except a little clearing in some trees back at the very beginning of the trail. We're not sure if we found the official look out, but it was a great view.

So back to our car we went, off to find the reason we drove all the way there, Seven Sisters. We drove more into Grand Etang and saw a cute monkey just hanging out.
At this point we saw that where we thought we needed to go to get to Seven Sisters was chained off so we couldn't get there, so we decided to keep driving to see if we could find a different entrance. We didn't find another way in, and the next thing we knew we went through Grand Etang to the other side of the island, so we decided to keep going and explore.
Even though we didn't ever find Seven Sister's, we got to see some little places we hadn't seen before. We're still determined to do Seven Sisters, and will find it eventually. Here are a couple pictures of the places we found while exploring.

We eventually made our way back home and went out for pizza and ice cream at Rick's. It turned out to be teenage date night or something there, we were the only non-locals, and the only ones over age twenty. We still had fun though!
On Sunday we were invited to have dinner at the senior missionary's house, the Bush's. We had a great dinner, great conversation, they are great people and we're lucky to have them in the branch.
So that was our busy fun filled weekend. We had a lot of fun and were excited to be able to spend time together. The next weekend we'll get to have together is when we come home in December, and we're already looking forward to it!

Yay, I love it. Can I say I am getting SOOOO excited I could die. Uh can this year go any faster? :) Sounds like it was great--anything you need sent to you? :)
