Mt. Carmel

There is a fun hike here that gets you to an upper pretty waterfall, but the fun part is the lower falls, where you can slide down the waterfall.   So on a morning that some of the girls didn't have their kids because they were in GAP (Grand Anse Playgroup-it's a really neat preschool), we headed out on a very windy hour car ride to Mt. Carmel.   Minus some biting worms that jumped, bruises, bug bites, and torn shorts, we all had a really fun time.

Bottom: Michelle

The hike was pretty easy, but very slippery because it had rained a lot before we came, so all of our shoes were covered with a huge layer of mud on the bottom, which made it even more slippery.

At first we just slid down the lower part, but then we got brave and slid down from the top that is covered by trees in the below picture.

Here is Kensi going down the upper part, and that is where most of the bruises came from because you hit a big rock at the bottom.  It was still fun, even though I was a wimp and only did it once from the very top, but I did the lower one more than once, so hopefully I'm not a total wimp.
